ALGIERS – Monday, 22 May 2023 (APS) – Algeria has condemned in the “strongest terms” the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by an official of the Zionist entity, in a “blatant and repeated violation” of the international law, calling on the international community to assume its responsibility in the face of Zionist occupation’s serious escalation against the Palestinian people, the ministry of foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad said Monday in a statement.

Algeria condemns in “the strongest terms” the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by an official of the Zionist occupation, under the protection of the occupation forces, in a “blatant and repeated violation” of the international law and the relevant decisions of the international legality,” the statement said.

Algeria reiterates condemnation of those provocative practices that come following a series of systematic Zionist aggressions against the Palestinian people and their inalienable legitimate rights, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities in the face of Zionist occupation’s serious escalation against the Palestinian people, the statement said.

Algeria reiterated its full solidarity with the brother Palestinian people and its consistent position in favour of the just Palestinian cause, for the recovery of their legitimate rights, mainly their right to an independent State with Al-Quds as capital, the statement concluded.
