ALGIERS – Tuesday, 06 December 2022 (APS) – Algeria “strongly” condemned the massacre perpetrated by armed groups in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), with an “appalling death toll,” hence “the urgent need to ensure the protection of civilians in the conflict zones,” the ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad said Tuesday in a statement.
“Algeria strongly condemns the terrible massacre that has just been committed by armed groups in the region of Kishishe, in North Kivu, the Democratic Republic of Congo, whose death toll emphasizes the need for the protection of civilians in the conflict zones,” the statement said.
