ALGIERS – Tuesday, 09 May 2023 (APS) – Algeria strongly condemned Tuesday airstrikes by Zionist occupation forces on Gaza, calling on the international community, especially the UN Security Council, “to take an urgent action to put a end to those criminal attacks” and uphold the rights of the Palestinian people, mainly their right to an independent state with Al-Quds as capital, the ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad said in a statement.

“Algeria strongly condemns” the brutal air strikes by the Zionist occupation forces in the Gaza Strip, and which caused many casualties, including children and women, the ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

The ministry expressed “deep concern about the succession of barbaric strikes and the dangerous escalation, by the occupation forces, against the Palestinian people, which are a blatant violation of all international laws.”

“Reiterating its full solidarity with the Palestinian people, Algeria calls on the international community, and especially the UN Security Council, to take an urgent action to end the repeated and systematic criminal attacks and to enforce the Palestinian people’s rights, especially their right to establish an independent State with Al-Quds as capital.”
