ALGIERS – Tuesday, 09 May 2023 (APS) – Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud underlined Tuesday a “total convergence” of views between Algeria and his country on different issue of common interest, pointing out that the cooperation and coordination existing between the two countries serve the security and stability of the Arab region and the international community.

 

After the audience granted to him by the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud said he “transmitted to President Tebboune and to the brotherly Algerian people the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Places of Islam and of His Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.”

“I have noted, as usual, a total convergence of views of Saudi Arabia and Algeria, and I have noticed a commitment of His Excellency the President, to moving forward for the strengthening of all the fields of cooperation between our two countries, thanks to the numerous opportunities offered in this regard, through the strengthening of trading which has experienced a constant increase in the past recent years.”

The Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of his visit to Algeria, which comes to continue the close cooperation and coordination between the two countries in all the fields, given that Algeria chairs currently the Arab League Council at the level of Summit.

While pointing out the multiple opportunities aimed to strengthen this cooperation and continue the examination of other cooperation and coordination fields, the Saudi minister said that the coordination and cooperation at the bilateral and multilateral levels “serve not only our two countries, but also the security and stability of the Arab world and our region, in a broader sense, as well as the international community and we intend to maintain this cooperation and coordination.”
