ALGIERS – Thursday, 07 December 2023 (APS) – The Algerian television channel AL24 News and Russian channel RT Arabic signed Thursday, in Algiers, a cooperation agreement on the exchange of information and audiovisual programs as well as on the mutual assistance in television broadcasting.
The agreement, signed between the Director General of AL24 News Salim Aggar and the Director of RT Arabic Maya Manna, provides for the exchange of information and audiovisual programs, as well as cooperation during media coverage of international events, notably the mutual technical support.
Aggar said that signing of this agreement aims to “strengthen the friendship and cooperation relations between the two countries” through “the implementation of training programs, the share of experiences and the media coverage of international events.”
For her part, Menna considered the signing of this agreement as a “new milestone” in the “strengthening of the strategic relations” between Algeria and Russia in the field of communication.
She announced, on this occasion, the opening by Russia Today of a regional office in Algeria.
