ALGIERS- A memorandum of understanding for the construction of an Algerian-Qatari hospital was signed Wednesday in the presence of Health Minister Abdelhak Saihi and Qatar’s ambassador to Algiers Abdulaziz Ali Naama.

 

The MoU was signed by Director of Health and Population of Algiers Lahlali Lahlali and Qatari Chairman of the Board of Dircetor of the Qatari Group IGRD (Investment holding Group) Mohamad Moataz al Khayat.

Minister of health affirmed that “the inking of this MoU for the construction of a big health facility comes in implementation of the guidelines of the two countries’ leaders and as a prelude to other projects that will be executed between the two countries.”

For his part, Mohamad Moataz el Khayat said that the signing of a memorandum to build this hospital “shows the ties of fraternity linking the two brotherly countries,” adding that “it constitutes a further milestone for the Qatari projects aiming at developing the health sector in Algeria.”
