ALGIERS – Tuesday, 11 July 2023 (APS) – The 9th session of the Algeria-Jordan Joint Commission wrapped up Tuesday in Amman (Jordan) with the signing of several conventions, memorandums of understanding and executive programs (18 documents) in fields such as industry, trade, transport, higher education and tourism, said the Ministry of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production in a statement.

The 9th session of the Algeria-Jordan Joint Commission, co-chaired by the Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Ali Aoun, and Jordan’s Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply and Minister of Labor, Youssef Ashamaleh, wrapped up with “the signing of several agreements, memorandums of understanding and executive programs (18 documents) in the fields of industry and trade, tourism and handicrafts, labor and social security, higher education and scientific research, as well as transport, archives and culture.”

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the session on Monday, Aoun underlined “the determination of both countries to raise their relations of fraternity and cooperation to the level of a strategic partnership in the service of their common interests and their aspirations for greater progress and prosperity.”

In this regard, the Minister recalled that Algeria had worked to create a secure and stable business climate to win the confidence of economic operators, through the launch opening of several projects aimed at overhauling the legislation governing the national economy.
