ALGIERS – Sunday, 09 October 2022 (APS) – Prime Minister Aymen Benabderrahmane said Sunday in Algiers that the 5th Algerian-French High-Level Intergovernmental Committee was an opportunity to give a strong boost to relations between the two countries with a reassessment and deepening of partnerships, mainly in the economic field.

In an address at the opening of the 5th session of the Algerian-French High-Level Intergovernmental Committee, at Abdellatif Rehal International Conference Centre, the prime minister said he was “fully convinced that the two countries have exceptional potentials of partnership in many fields, some of which are still under-exploited and others not yet explored.”

Significant progress has been made in developing and strengthening the bilateral economic partnership following the creation of the Algerian-French Joint Economic Commission, whose 6th session was held in March 2020 in Algiers, Benabderrahmane said.

The Premier said he was satisfied with the results of the mechanism that has made it possible to “carry out several projects and create joint ventures in industry, transport, mining, agri-food, in addition to training programmes in these important areas.

Benabderrahmane stressed the need to “preserve, develop and extend this partnership in the service of the new momentum of bilateral relations, brought to fruition under the leadership of the leaders of the two countries.”
