ALGIERS – Sunday, 09 October 2022 (APS) – The works of the 5th Algerian-French High-Level Intergovernmental Committee opened Sunday in Algiers under the co-chairmanship of Prime Minister Aymen Benabderrahmane, and his French counterpart, Elisabeth Borne.

In an opening address at the meeting held in Abdellatif Rahal international convention centre in Algiers, the prime minister said he was convinced about the exceptional potential of Algeria and France in various fields, inviting companies in the two countries to focus on the aspects relating to the transfer of expertise, know-how and training.

He also emphasized Algeria’s efforts to create the necessary conditions and the appropriate environment to establish a modern and competitive, productive and industrial base, through the improvement of the business climate and the promotion of domestic products.

The bilateral consultation mechanism, set up after the signing in December 2013, in Algiers, of the convention on the creation of the Algerian-French High-Level Intergovernmental Committee, has been marked by regular exchange of visits between the two countries and the common desire to build a strong and diversified cooperation and exceptional partnership.
