ALGIERS – Monday, 12 June 2023 (APS) – The Ministry of Energy and Mines is co-organising with the European Union (EU), on Tuesday in Algiers, a workshop on the development of the renewable hydrogen sector, said the ministry Monday in a statement.
“As part of the strategic dialogue between Algeria and the European Union (EU) in the field of energy, the Ministry of Energy and Mines is jointly organizing with the European Union, on Tuesday 13 June 2023, an expert workshop on the development of the renewable hydrogen sector,” the same source said.
The workshop, which aims to “lay the foundations for cooperation in the field of hydrogen, will be attended by European and Algerian experts and representatives of various organizations,” added the same source
The workshop programme includes three panel sessions devoted to strategies for the role of renewable hydrogen by 2030 and 2050 in Algeria and the EU, aspects relating to regulations and incentive mechanisms for the development of hydrogen, and transport, distribution and storage infrastructures, the ministry added.
