ALGIERS – Wednesday, 07 September 2022 (APS) – Algeria congratulates Kenya for the successful presidential election of 9 August 2022, in which William Samoei Ruto was elected president, wishing him “full success in his new mission,” the ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad said Tuesday.
“Algeria expresses its warm congratulations to the sister Republic of Kenya for the successful holding of the presidential election of 9 August 2022, which led to the victory of William Samoei Ruto,” the ministry said in a statement.
Algeria “wishes him full success in his new mission” and “commends the spirit of responsibility and the exemplary awareness of the Kenyan people.”
The ministry added that Algeria “reiterates its firm commitment to work together with the President-elect, to further strengthen the historical relations of fraternity and solidarity between the two countries and deepen bilateral cooperation and consultations within regional and international bodies, in the interest of Africa and the defence of just causes,” the statement said.
