ALGIERS – Friday, 12 May 2023 (APS) – Algeria has condemned the shooting that killed four people Tuesday in the city of Djerba (Tunisia), affirming its full solidarity with the Tunisian Government and people and its permanent commitment to the security of this brotherly country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad said in a statement.
“After the shooting which occurred in the evening of Tuesday 9 May in the city of Djerba, leaving four people dead, including two policemen, and several injured, Algeria condemns this criminal act and affirms its full solidarity with the Tunisian Government and people as well as its permanent commitment to the security of the brotherly country Tunisia. Algeria reaffirms its condemnation and its categorical rejection of all forms of violence, regardless of its purposes,” the ministry said in a statement.
“Algeria expresses also all its compassion to the grieving families and hopes speedy recovery to the injured,” added the source.
