ALGIERS – Sunday, 17 December 2023 (APS) – Algeria advanced 14 places in the development index of the information and communication technologies (ICTs), according to the latest report of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

“With 77.8 points, Algeria ranked 88th out of 169 member countries of the Union, exceeding the African average (47.4 points), the average of the Arab countries (74.5 points) and the average of the countries with average revenue (62 points),” said the source.

ICTs development index, published by ITU since 2009, is the main indicator to measure and assess the level of ICTs’ development in the world.
