ALGIERS – Wednesday, 31 May 2023 (APS) – The national airline, Air Algérie, signed on Wednesday in Algiers a contract with the European manufacturer Airbus for the acquisition of seven wide-body aircraft.

The contract was signed by the CEO of Air Algérie, Yacine Benslimane, and the Vice-President of Sales for the Africa and Levant region of Airbus, Hadi Akoum, in the presence of officials from the Ministry of Transport and the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), as well as executives from both companies, at a ceremony held at the Air Algérie Technopôle in Algiers.

Thanks to this contract, Airbus will supply Air Algérie with five A 330-900 aircraft (280-320 seat module) and two other A 350-1000 aircraft (350-450 seat module), the first of which will be delivered during the 2nd quarter of 2025.
