ALGIERS – Monday, 24 July 2023 (APS) – The second edition of the International Show “Agrest-Expo” will be held on 26-29 October in the province of Constantine, the organizers said in a press release on Monday.
The main aim of the event, which will feature two parallel pavilions dedicated respectively to the agriculture and agri-food sectors, is “to enable national and foreign operators to forge business and partnership relations capable of exploiting the undeniable assets and potential of the Eastern Algerian region,” said the source.
Over 250 Algerian and foreign companies will be taking part in the event, including some sixty foreign companies from a dozen European, African, American and Asian countries. “The Algerian businessmen will seize this opportunity to engage in partnerships and benefit from technical and technological advances.”
Organized in partnership with the National Association of Algerian Exporters (ANEXAL) and the Constantine “Rhumel” Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as employers’ organizations, the show promises to be equally rich in thematic conference debates hosted by experts on the most relevant topics of the day.
Sheep, cattle, poultry and bee-keeping, cereal growing, market gardening, dairy production, fruit growing and animal health are the main products to be exhibited in the pavilion dedicated to agriculture.
The other pavilion will be home to professionals from the agri-food industry, processing equipment and companies specializing in packaging, with a strong presence of operators in these sectors, which have seen remarkable growth in Algeria in recent years.
Students and holders of innovative projects will benefit from free exhibition space, to put them in direct contact with professionals so that they can promote their projects and possibly find the necessary means to bring them to fruition.
