ALGIERS – Thursday, 12 October 2023 (APS) – The Algerian and American delegations held “in-depth discussions” during the works of the 6th Algerian-American Strategic dialogue, held Wednesday in Washington, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad said Thursday in a statement.
“This meeting, which comes within framework of the strengthening of the bilateral cooperation between Algeria and the United States of America, allowed the two sides to assess their partnership and discuss prospects of its deepening,” said the source.
In this regard, “a large Algerian multi-sectoral delegation, led by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Lounes Magramane, held with the representatives of several US administrations in-depth discussions as part of working groups devoted to political, security, economic and cultural issues,” said the source.
On the sidelines of this session, Magramane discussed with the US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Barbara Leaf, said the source.
“The discussions focused on the prospects of bilateral cooperation and regional issues of common interest,” added the source.
