ALGIERS – Sunday, 04 December 2022 (APS) – The Ministry of Tourism and Craft Industry will organize the 5th International Saharan Tourism Festival from 9 to 11 December in Ghardaia, the ministry said Sunday in a statement.
“The organization of this festival is part of the promotion of the Saharan tourism product, which is considered as the backbone of Algeria destination,” said the source.
Several tourism, cultural and sporting activities are on the agenda, in order to promote the Saharan tourism product, added the source.
Operators from the sector of tourism and craft industry as well as foreign media outlets will attend this international event.
The province of Ghardaia has been selected to host this major event “given its tourist assets in addition to its tangible and intangible heritage. It is also one of the most attractive tourist destinations during the Saharan tourism season, occupying a prominent place in the development strategy of the Saharan tourism.”
