“Our country attaches a special interest to digitization by implementing the programme of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune who committed to achieving the digital transformation and generalizing the use of ICTs, notably within public establishments, as well as improving the economic governance,” said Cherhabil.

He underlined that “Algeria’s strategy in this field is based on the continuous improvement of its basic infrastructures and the execution of big and quality projects, notably in terms of ensuring a high-speed internet service, and the provision of fixed and mobile phone services nationwide to reduce the digital gap.”

For his part, El-Mahdi Oualid underlined the recent adoption by the African Union of the Declaration of Algiers on the Startups, which shows, according to him, “the importance given by our country to this sector as well as to the strengthening of the cooperation between the African States in order to free themselves from the technological dependence.”
