ALGIERS – Tuesday, 12 December 2023 (APS) – The 31st edition of the Algerian Production Fair (FPA) will open its doors on Thursday at the Exhibition Palace Pins-Maritimes in Algiers, with the participation of 565 exhibitors, according to a press release issued Tuesday by Algerian Fairs and Exhibition Company – SAFEX.

Organized on 14-23 December by the Algerian Company for Exhibitions (a subsidiary of SAFEX) and placed under the patronage of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, this major business event is themed: “The Producing Company, the Basis of Growth and Economic Development.”

This year’s event will see the participation of “major national public and private companies and others that have recently invested in the national market to showcase the products and services of Algerian companies, over an area of 28,666 m2.

The fair will bring together several sectors of activity, including the agri-food, chemical and petrochemical industries, processing industries (furniture, textiles, leather and ready-to-wear), electronics and household appliances, mechanical industries, iron and steel, construction and building materials, services, military industries, start-ups and handicrafts.

On the sidelines of the fair, meetings bringing together various economic players will be held to address a range of issues, such as a study day on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), organized by the Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion on December 16.

Another meeting will focus on “Project Management: Challenges and Opportunities”, on December 17, and another on “New Mechanisms to Help Production Companies Export,” on December 18.

The fair will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. throughout the event.
