ALGIERS – Sunday, 24 September 2023 (APS) – The 22nd International Tourism and Travel Show (SITEV) will kick off on Thursday at the Exhibition Center, in Algiers, with the participation of 250 exhibitors, including 30 from abroad, the show’s commissioner and Director General of the National Tourism Office (ONT) Saliha Nacer Bey told Sunday APS.

Placed under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism and Craft Industry, this major event, to be held until 1 October, is meant to be a space brining together “the different players of the field, notably the establishments under the supervision of the ministry, travel agencies, tourism operators, hotel of the public and private sectors, craftsmen as well as banks, insurance and transport companies.”

 

“The event will be marked by the presence of several associations from the field, tourism offices, content creators and startups managers,” said the source.

“SITEV is a major event in Algeria, constituting an opportunity that must be seized to promote the destination Algeria, especially as it coincides this year with the beginning of the Saharan tourism season,” he added.

“The organization of this show is the fruit of the efforts of all the stakeholders, given its importance for the tourism sector,” said Nacer Bey, underlining that large spaces were made available to the exhibitors in the central pavilion of the fair.

This event, which will see the participation of a number of foreign countries, like Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Greece, Turkey and China, is meant to be “an important opportunity for the different Algerian and foreign operators to present their products and to exchange experiences with the different tourism professionals and operators.”
