ORAN – Wednesday, 22 February 2023 (APS) – The 13th edition of the International Tourism, Travel and Transport Show “SIAHA 2023” opened Wednesday at Oran’s Mohamed Benahmed Convention Center, with the participation of over 30 operators.
Held under the high patronage of the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts, this event sees the participation of national and foreign businessmen from Tunisia, Tanzania, Senegal, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Turkey, who came to showcase their services in the fields of tourism, travel, transport, hotel business, modern reservation systems and hotel equipment.
The event, which is one of the most important periodic national events, is a venue for Algerian operators to highlight the tourist assets of the country and present their offers and products in the field of tourism to promote the Algeria destination.
The show is also an opportunity for national exhibitors to meet their foreign counterparts to exchange experiences in the use of technology, digitization of tourism specialties, told APS the main organizer of the show, Douadi Nouredine.
According to him, the show will focus on the issue of digitization of the craft industry.
Moreover, the event is an opportunity for visitors to discover the diversity of tourism products offered by travel and tourism agencies, especially in the run-up to the spring vacations and in preparation for the month of Ramadan, during which a strong demand is recorded for stays in the Holy Places of Islam and in anticipation of the summer season.
As part of the show, “ASTRA” advertising agency, the event organizer, scheduled meetings between domestic and foreign operators to encourage bilateral partnership as well as presentations on tourism in general, hosted by experts, in addition to competitions.
The show also houses a stand of artistic crafts.
