ALGIERS – Thursday, 05 May 2022 (APS) – The secretary general (SG) of the ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Rachid Chakib Kaid, will start Thursday a Latin America trip that will take him to Lima, Bogota and Mexico, where he will co-chair, with his Peruvian, Colombian and Mexican counterparts, bilateral political consultation meetings, the ministry said in a statement.

The secretary general (SG) of the ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Rachid Chakib Kaid, will make a trip to Latin America on May 5-13 that will lead him to Lima, Bogota and Mexico, where he will co-chair, with his Peruvian, Colombian and Mexican counterparts, bilateral political consultation meetings, the statement said.

“The trip is meant to enhance the traditional ties of friendship and solidarity between Algeria and those countries,” the statement said.

It will also be “an opportunity to review the state of bilateral cooperation and consider the ways and means to give a fresh impetus to cooperation in all areas.”

The trip is a “new stage in the strengthening of political dialogue, bilateral cooperation and coordination of positions in regional and international issues of common interest,” the statement concluded.
