ALGIERS – Thursday, 26 January 2023 (APS) – Prime Minister Aymen Benabderrahmane chaired Thursday, in Algiers, a ceremony celebrating the International Customs Day (ICD), in the presence of members of the government, Customs executives and senior State officials.

Before the opening of the ceremony, being held at Abdellatif Rahal International Convention Centre, under the theme “Support for the New Generation, Promotion of the Culture of Exchange of Knowledge and Boost of Pride in Customs Officers,” the Prime Minister visited an exhibition about the Algerian Customs.

The exhibition displays pictures, equipment and documents about the history and activity of the Algerian Customs.

During the visit the Prime Minister gave a series of guidelines for an effective execution of the future Customs management’s projects.

The ceremony’s programme includes the launch of tests relating to the new Customs’ computer system, papers on the achievements and prospects of the Algerian Customs activity, the annual report 2022, the field activity of the Customs operation teams and the latest results of the fight against trafficking and smuggling.
