ALGIERS – Wednesday, 20 April 2022 (APS) – The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune received Wednesday a phone call from the President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, who thanked Algeria for its “constant and honorable” stance on the Palestinian cause, said the Presidency of the Republic in a communiqué.
“The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune received Wednesday a phone call from his brother the President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, who thanked the Algerian people, president and government for their constant and honorable position on the Palestinian cause,” said the source.
“Mahmoud Abbas also informed President Tebboune of the serious developments of the situation in occupied Palestine and the attacks on the holy places of Islam on the esplanade of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. He also briefed the president on his contacts with the leaders of the member states of the Security Council,” said the source.
